Branshaw takes lead
David Branshaw birdied the last two holes Friday to shoot 4-under 68 and grab a one-stroke lead at the delayed Viking Classic.
Branshaw, in his third year on the PGA Tour at age 37, finished 10-under 134 and is looking for his first career win.
"I’ve got a good opportunity these next six weeks to make some money," Branshaw said.
Six players are tied for fifth at 137. First-round leader Briny Baird shot a 78 and fell into a tie for 28th place at 141.
Play was delayed for well over two hours on Thursday due to lightning in the area with six players still on the course. The round will be completed on Saturday morning.
